What is Mental Wellness?
Definition: The WHO defines mental health as "as a state of well-being in which every individual realises his or her own potential, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to her or his community."

Activity 1- Come up with your own definition of mental health.
Activity 2- In a small group, brainstorm ways you can achieve mental wellness and stress less.
Activity 3- Create a list of activities you can do to achieve mental wellness.
Activity 4- Practice increasing other students well being. .
Activity 5- Play the alliterative name game- eg. Excellent Emily. Everyone in the room needs to say something positive about themselves and also about a peer.
Activity 6- Individually answer the following reflection questions:
1. On a scale of 1-10 (10 being the best) rate your mental wellness today? Why did you give yourself this score?
2. When/where do you feel the most relaxed and happy?
3. What or who makes you feel good about yourself and why?
4. When have you felt stressed or upset in the past? How did you cope in this situation (what did you do?)
